To be honest, I’m not really a big fan of Avril Lavigne. So when the Canadian singer-songwriter released the fourth studio album, ‘Goodbye Lullaby’, I wasn’t entirely enthusiastic. I’m not particularly keen with the previous best-selling tracks such as ‘Complicated’, ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and ‘Girlfriend’. My only favourite song from Lavigne would be ‘When You’re Gone’. This long-awaited album that took two whole years to complete the production contained 14 tracks. The same producer of Spears ‘Femme Fatale’, Max Martin once again produced some of the songs in this album. Among some of the tracks worth listening are ‘What the Hell’, ‘Black Star’, ‘Wish you were here’, ‘Smile’, and ‘Alice’. American recording artiste, Britney Spears once again made waves in the industry – but good headlines. The long-awaited seventh album, Femme Fatale contained some catchy tunes. Produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, the lead single from the album, ‘Hold It Against Me’ peaked the charts in eight countries and that included United States and Canada. Whenever the song is played on radio, I can’t help but humming along awkwardly. Though things weren’t looking good for Spears in the last few years with her erratic behavior and negative headlines, it seems that Spears had pulled together with a great album this time around. Let me say right out loud here – I’m a big fan of David Foster ever since I heard ‘look what you’ve done to me’ by Boz Scaggs. David Foster remained one of the biggest names in the industry for his songs such as ‘Through the Fire’, ‘Home’, ‘I Swear’ and the unforgettable ‘The Prayer’. Whatever you think about these songs, it remain as some of my favourites to these days. So here’s another collection from David Foster & Friends ‘Hitman Returns’ by Warner Music.
